Keel is now an approved component listed for Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Programs.
Dublin, December 2, 2024: Klas, a global leader in rugged edge technology solutions, announced that KlasOS Keel, an intelligent edge operating system (OS), is now listed as a Traffic Filtering Firewall as part of the National Security Agency (NSA)/Central Security Service Commercial Solutions for Classified Program (CSfC) components.
Government customers increasingly require immediate use of the market’s most modern commercial hardware and software technologies offered within National Security Systems (NSS) to achieve mission objectives. With the new CSfC component listing of Keel, Klas further demonstrates its commitment to supporting its customers by delivering timely cybersecurity solutions for rapidly evolving customer requirements.
Keel’s NSA CSfC component listing builds on the recently announced compliance with the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) current collaborative Protection Profile for Network Devices (NDcPP). Keel is compliant under two NIAP Protection Profiles:
- Network Device 2.2E (ND) – standard basic protection profile for all networked devices.
- Firewall 1.4E (FW) – An add-on Protection Profile to ND for Firewalls.
With Keel’s NSA CSfC component listing, customers now require fewer resources at the edge, making it more cost-effective, faster, and easier to deploy protected classified networks at scale. Keel CSfC firewall protection is available on several low-SWaP and rugged modules, including VoyagerVMm 1.0, TRX R2 and VoyagerVM 3.0.
“Through the continued collaboration with our government customers, we continue to innovate and redefine the capability for secure mission data access on low-SWaP hardware.” said Frank Murray, CTO of Klas. “Our customers can now extend and scale intelligence sharing by delivering classified network access at the Tactical Edge as part of a variety of form factors and use cases including man-packs, vehicles, and roll-on/roll-off based kits.“
